We invite you to tap, swipe, or click through this year’s annual report to hear how the Lord is using RBC to make Christ known in northern Virginia and around the world.
Every number represents a person.
Every person has a story.
Every story involves God.
“So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.”
“But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift…. For the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ.”
“There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours. All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name.”
As the Pastor of Community Engagement, I am so thankful for the way He has been at work in RBC over this past year. We have had many grow in their confidence and ability to share the gospel with those God has put around them from the “Share Jesus Without Fear” classes and from the “Engagement Project” series that our Shepherd Groups have gone through this fall.
My prayer as we enter into 2023 that we will each actively take the initiative to love those around us and that God would allow “each one to reach one” with the good news of Jesus Christ!
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
We had a great year sowing gospel seeds into the lives of young children. We praise God for the many families doing the hard work of investing in your children, day in and day out…waiting, praying, and trusting that God’s Word will not return empty, without accomplishing the purpose for which God sent it (Isaiah 55:11). Thank you to all the Quest and Awana volunteers sacrificing time and energy, partnering with us to invest in the next generation to know Christ and to make Him known.
“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.”
“Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.”
At RBC, our Family Life ministry exists to cultivate marriages and families that are Christ centered and growing in their love for God, for one another, for His church, and for the lost.
“Choose this day whom you will serve…But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
“Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”
The Senior High Student Ministry exists to help students discover God and engage people. We do this through:
““Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
As the Pastor of Teens, I was blessed to come alongside of RBC men and encourage them as husbands and fathers. At the February Men’s Summit, 200 men came to see film “Show Me The Father.” The film offered a clear message of home to those who struggle with their fathers or who are struggling as a father .
My prayer for 2023 is that God will help each of us to take on the incredible reality that we already have the Father we have always wanted and then receive and live by His agape love.
“Por tanto, vayan y hagan discípulos de todas las naciones, bautizándolos en el nombre del Padre y del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo.”
Our ESL ministry has two goals: Showing the love of Christ through quality English teaching as well as sharing the good news in class. We are equipping our students with better English skills and are teaching them about eternal hope through Jesus Christ.
“If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.”
